About ‘THE GREEN ROOF’
THE GREEN ROOF is a model of the future community stormwater treatment system. Urbanization is an inevitable process, which means there will be more cities and cities will grow bigger.

Hardscape brings convenience to our lives, but it also brings convenience to storm water runoff, the latter then brings much higher pressure to sewage systems. With the development of global warming, more extreme weather occurs more often, and those pressures might be deadly to cities’ sewage systems. In this showcase model, we mainly use how this issue is addressed commonly today and merge them into a community-scale model. Those strategies can not only be a way to deal with stormwater runoff and peak flow, but also a factor that makes our communities a better place to live.
Those strategies include but are not limited to green roofs, vertical gardens and bioswales. A bigger concept to cover those strategies is green infrastructures.
Currently those green infrastructure are in a booming development. More and more brands and industries are adapting these concepts and independent firms are rapidly growing. Our model is a dynamic display of the application of its function, logic and result. Let’s get in and experience the future communities by ourselves.
