About The Luminous Arc
THE LUMINOUS ARC is the balcony inside the Museum of Future Art (MOFA) on Infinite Island perfectly blends futuristic aesthetics with environmental consciousness. Its minimalist rectangular design is inspired by traditional Japanese tea rooms, conveying a sense of humility, gratitude, and respect for nature. The exterior is clad in solar panels, which not only provide energy but also symbolize sustainable architecture. A unique feature of these solar panels is that visitors can interactively adjust their transparency and rotation angles from within the balcony, creating personalized light and shadow effects.
The interior of the Arc features a two-tiered open space designed for social interaction, relaxation, and entertainment. It can also accommodate interactive installations and decorative sculptures, which could either be the latest additions to MOFA’s collection or official in-house creations. Furthermore, the Arc can collaborate with exhibition spaces to host social events, creating a seamless blend of art and social engagement. The delicate balance of light and shade in its design symbolizes the harmony between nature and modern innovation, further enhancing the interactive experience between technology, art, and visitors.
